Guy Gerrard – Worldwide Challenge

Many of you have started your fall ministry with anticipation, energy, and motivation. There is something special about a fresh start to the fall season of life. Always be ready for challenges. We fight against an enemy who wants to distract us, tempt us, and ultimately destroy the Lord’s work.

Here are some powerful words of the apostle Paul, when he knew he had to go back to Jerusalem. He even knew it might cost him his life. Against all counsel and reason, Paul went in obedience to the Holy Spirit. Here’s what he said in Acts 20:22-24 (read in context to capture the full expression)

22 And now, behold, I am going to Jerusalem, constrained by the Spirit, not knowing what will happen to me there, 23 except that the Holy Spirit testifies to me in every city that imprisonment and afflictions await me. 24 But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.

Determine to never give up on ministry. We all look forward to a tremendous reward that will last into eternity. Your impact for the cause of the gospel has no end. Keep going and never stop!

A tracking system that Cru has developed is called MissionHub. This database system allows you to do so many things with your members and helps you keep new people from falling through the cracks. I wrote about this new system back in February. Check out MissionHub here.

As you look to find interested people in Cru and the gospel message, MissionHub will be a big help if you learn to use it effectively. Most importantly, this database will assist you in delegating interested people to your existing leaders so that follow-up can be done quickly and effectively.

Talk to you next week,
