On Your Marks, Set, Go!

Weekly Tip #1, Fall 2016

Public announcement system

I pray that you are doing well and are looking to having a good school year. Recently, I had a chance to watch some of the Rio Olympics. On Aug. 14th, Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt showed that he was the fastest man in the world. For the third Olympics in a row Bolt won the 100-meter dash in 9.81 seconds.

As I listened to how the race started, the official said, “On your Mark, Set, Go!” (Go was actually the gun going off). Each Olympian has been preparing hard for four years before they get on the starting line. In the same way, continual preparation with your leadership team is needed before the fall term begins, and continues for each week. In order to stay sharp and on track, careful decisions need to be made so that the greatest amount is accomplished for God’s kingdom in your ministry situation.

A document newly written by my coworker effectively lays out the big picture of your fall term and weekly reminders. Check it out here.

Talk to you next week,

Ben with Cru
