Weekly Tip #1 Spring 2019
The Apostle Paul in the book of Ephesians 5:17-18, has this to say:
“17 Therefore do not be foolish but understand what the Lord’s will is. 18 Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit…”
Verse 17 clearly says that we need to understand the Lord’s will and follow it. God’s Word says to be holy as He is holy, be filled (controlled and empowered) by the Spirit, observe the gifts of the Spirit, love one another, and many other commands and truths. Our flesh, when we want to follow our own will, says: “I’ll do it my way, I know what’s best for me, I trust my feelings, it’s all about me, etc…”
Get off the Tug-O-War with God and follow His will and ways. He knows what is best for us, wants us to experience His joy and the abundant life as described in Scripture. Is it your will or God’s will? Go with God’s will.
Ideas To Consider This Week:
Gather, Top 10, Go!
This week, with all the leaders and students in your ministry, throw out the challenge to have everyone invite 5-10 people to your meetings/Bible study. Not just this week, but every week reach out and share the “Knowing God Personally” (KGP) booklet with as many people as possible. Commit the KGP to memory so you can use the content with any evangelistic tool or strategy. So many are hungering for significance and love. They just don’t know it is Jesus and His forgiveness that they’re missing. You be the one to tell them. Start inviting.
