The Most Important Thing To Plan For As You Look To Your Fall Term

It is not too early to begin planning for the fall term. Yes, you can work on the schedule, activities, meetings, evangelism strategies and several other big things. But perhaps the most important thing to plan for is challenging and training any new leaders you will need for the fall term. Without the proper transfer of leadership, a ministry could cease to exist.

Here are a few excerpts from a recent document by the director of Student LINC, Gilbert Kingsley, “Movements grow by working with the right people and doing the right things with the right people… It is not what we do, but what others do that is a true measure of our leadership success… We want to intentionally look to replace ourselves and be able to step aside and let others take on leadership.”

Now is the time to be looking aggressively to insure that a solid team of leaders are in place to take over for the fall term. You will want to model to that potential leader everything they will need to know to be successful. Here’s an excellent article to prepare you to select, challenge, and train your next leaders for your campus. http://learn.godsquad.com/

The article in this link covers a lot of material but well worth the read to give you the full picture and to prepare to transfer leadership for the next school term. Leave a legacy that will far outlast you when you’ve long graduated.

Talk to you next week,
