Always Good News

Looking At Stars

The word for Gospel literally means “Good News”. One of the results of the Good News of Jesus Christ is clearly spelled out for us by the Apostle Paul in Romans 8:1, 10-11.

8 1There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

10 But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.

After reading this passage we realize there is no better news. Believing, being chosen by, and accepting Christ as our Savior, brings us into a relationship with the God of the universe. That relationship endures into eternity.

Christ’s death clears the way from the condemnation we deserve because of sin. The Holy Spirit becomes the internal seal that protects us until we get to Heaven. Have you placed your trust in Christ Jesus? Have your friends and neighbors made the same decision? There is no greater news than the Gospel of Christ

Changing Of The Guard

Every Fall and Spring term, some of your ministry leaders will graduate, transfer, take time off from work, or leave for a variety of reasons. It is always essential that you keep your eye on the next disciple(s) whom you will challenge to the leadership team. If the ministry does not multiply, it will surely die. Who are you pouring your life into and training so that you are replacing yourself or others with the next generation of leadership?

You will need the right people in place to help expand your ministry. Be proactive and look to confirm your leadership team for the Spring in the next 2-3 weeks. Leave a lasting legacy long after you’ve left, with the Changing of the Guard.

Talk to you next week,
