Be All You Can Be – If I Had To Do College All Over Again

Be All You Can Be

Guy on rock

From 1980 to 2001 the U.S. Army had a slogan that read, “Be All You Can Be”. This same slogan can be used as believers in Christ for achieving our highest potential for His kingdom. There are a number of important ways that the Bible talks about living a life that can be used by Him in a maximum way to accomplish His purposes for your life.

At the same time, I believe that one of the greatest distractions in allowing God to use us in a powerful way is the sin that can creep into our lives. The world is filled with temptations and with an evil one on the loose (the devil) who is like a roaring lion seeking to devour us and render us ineffective. Sin can destroy your effectiveness as you try to reach your ministry location with the Gospel message.

The Apostle Paul, in Romans 6, has an important message for dealing with sin in your personal life. Take a moment and read 6:5-14. This is great news for us. We are dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus. We are to present ourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life and as instruments of righteousness. We also have the armor of God in Ephesians 6:10-20. We have the victory – we are to live in that victory.

If I Had To Do College All Over Again

A couple of weeks ago I had a great conversation with staff member Glennis from NYC. She mentioned to me what she would do if she had to do college all over again. Her thoughts are extremely insightful. Check out her 3-minute video.

Continue to commit yourself to reaching your ministry location with the Gospel message. Don’t bow to peer pressure. What will it take? Are you stepping out in faith every week to share with someone? Are you planning (if possible) at least one big event each month? Is everyone trained in sharing their faith?

Talk to you next week,
