1. Jesus first went to pray by Himself as was His custom. He was in constant communion with the Father.
2. As Jesus saw the crowds, He had compassion for them and healed their sick. The disciples then observed that it was late and they encouraged Jesus to send them away to buy food for themselves.
3. Jesus challenged the disciples by saying “…you give them something to eat”, you do not have to send crowds away.
4. All they had was five loaves and two fish, not enough to feed 5,000 plus the women and children.
5. Jesus looked up to Heaven, prayed, and distributed the bread and fish to the people and everyone ate and was satisfied. They brought back 12 baskets full of pieces that were left over.
