Where Is Your Power Source?

Weekly Ministry Tip #5

As a true believer in Christ, when we fully obey God’s Word, to live a life pleasing to Him, the power to live that godly life, is found through the influence of the Holy spirit.

Founder and President of Cru, Bill Bright (1921-2003) said this about the Spirit-Filled life,

“When we are filled with the Holy Spirit, we are filled with Jesus Christ. We no longer think of Christ as One who helps us do some kind of Christian task but, rather, Jesus Christ does the work in and through us. Christ does not want us to work for Him. He wants us to let Him do His work in and through us. This is the glorious experience that the apostle Paul knew, as he described in Galatians 2:20, “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me” (NIV).

Consider viewing this quick video. Also, download the Godtools App on your smart phone and go to the “Satisfied?” tab. Consider teaching this in your next Bible study on campus. The Spirit Filled life should be highlighted regularly so that everyone understands and is reminded of true victory in the Christian life.

Continue To Recruit For Your Fall Retreat

As mentioned in last week’s tip, continue to invite students with you to attend your local fall retreat. While you’re at it, go back through the names of everyone who has attended your meetings on campus and make an effort to re-invite them. Call/text them and offer to walk to the meeting together.

Talk to you next week,
