Weekly Ministry Tip #4
Continuing in Psalm 63 from last week, verse 3 says, “Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you.” How do we define God’s love? Here are two other cross references in Psalms:
Psalm 36:7 “How priceless is your unfailing love!”.
Psalm 13:5 “But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation.”
The New Testament brings God’s love into greater focus today because of Christ.
John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
And Romans 5:8, But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
God’s love for us is unconditional, sacrificial, and indescribable. God is worthy of all our praise, honor, and to be glorified. God’s love is better than life.
Fall Retreat Time
There are Fall Retreats near your campus that are coming up very soon. These retreats are extremely strategic for 3 main reasons:
- The Fall retreat will help everyone who attends to focus on a closer relationship with God.
- The retreat will allow you to gather with many like-minded students who are also trying to develop their campus ministries. You’ll be able to mutually share ideas to help your ministries grow.
- The Fall retreat will help you to grow closer with the students from your campus and be truly unified.
- Don’t let anything keep you from going. Ask God to clear up any obstacles. Go for it! Here is an excellent article for some perspective.
To find out your nearest fall retreat, ask your Cru staff member.
