Weekly Tip #3, Spring 2019
John 11:1-44 records the powerful story describing one of Jesus miracles. After learning that Lazarus, the brother of Mary and Martha, was sick, Jesus delayed two extra days before traveling there. Lazarus had been in the tomb four days when Jesus arrived and said to Martha, “Your brother will rise again.” Jesus went on to say, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?”
Martha answered, “Yes Lord, she told him, I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, who was to come into the world.”
Jesus went on to raise Lazarus from the grave. He used this occasion to express who He was and what He offered as the Messiah. Jesus can give all who believe in Him eternal life. Jesus used the events in His life to further the message of the Kingdom of God and eternal life to all who believed. Let us start conversations that allow us to spread the message of Christ to all who will listen. Make every event count.
Team Up – Two By Two
Begin or continue the practice of pairing people up to go out and share the Gospel message together. Whether your ministry is the college campus, high school, neighborhood, or ministry location, train people to share their faith and go out regularly to talk to people. This is one of the dynamic features of a growing and effective ministry.
Continue to meet new people. Invite them to your meetings and ask if you can share the “Knowing God Personally” booklet with them, the Soularium, Perspective Cards or your personal testimony with the Gospel message from memory. Of course, you can download the “GodTools” app on your smart phone along with the Jesus Film app.
Step out regularly to talk to people. We are called to be His ambassadors. Try it two by two.
Collegiate Day Of Prayer
Tomorrow, February 28th (or pick a day next week), invite the students in your ministry to join with you to observe the Collegiate Day Of Prayer. Take some time to trust God together in prayer to reach out to thousands with the message of Christ. Check it out.
Talk to you next week,
