Making Easter an Issue on Campus

Making Easter an Issue on Campus

I am personally at the Big Break conference in Panama City Beach, Florida. We have 1,100 students sharing the gospel on an eight-mile stretch of beach this week.  Everyone is taking a step of faith and sharing with spring breakers from all over the country.  Last week students from Campus Crusade ministries from the eastern two thirds of the U.S. were here to make a difference on the beach and in the process, their own lives.

Think about keeping evangelism prominent in your campus ministry.  As one shares their faith, it changes our own lives and gives us a greater heart for God.  That’s because we have to trust Him more.  This spring semester is going quickly as we are already in the middle of March.

Consider at least one more big evangelistic event before the end of the year.  Easter is just a couple of weeks away on April 4th.  Think about making the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus an issue on campus.  This is a great time to bring attention to the greatest event in history, Christ’s death and resurrection for the forgiveness of the sins of all mankind.  Here are some ideas from the GodSquad to help you: http://www.godsquad.com/seasonal/easter.htm

The greatest message we can proclaim to the world is the fact that Jesus died for our sins and by personally accepting Him, we will spend eternity in heaven.  Help make the true Easter message a topic of conversation on your campus.
