Getting Off to a Good Start for Your Fall Semester

I hope and pray that you had a good summer and that you’re ready for your fall semester.  As you begin, be sure that your heart is ready for ministry and giving of yourself to others as a servant – Matthew 20:25-28, John 13:1-17.

1. Have a regular quiet time.  Pick out a book of the Bible you will read each day.  Maybe just a few verses, a paragraph or a chapter.  Ask God to teach you and instruct you in godly living and any changes you need to personally make.  John 15:1-8.

2. Commit some time to prayer each day.  Pray for yourself, your campus, your fellow students and for God to move in a powerful way on campus this year.

3. Follow the right steps.  On the Godsquad web site you’ll find some practical steps to get the most out of your first two weeks of classes.  This is the most important time of the year.  Check out this link:  http://www.godsquad.com/leading/sixwkpln.htm

4. Connect soon with your staff coach and ask them for advise and help.

These tips will be coming your way each week to help give you some ideas and some tracks to run on.  I’m praying that this will be a great year for you and for your campus ministry.
