Weekly Tip #11, Spring 2015
17 Things to Know This Spring – #11
“The Message We Proclaim Everywhere”
Take time this week to read and meditate on the story of the greatest event in all of human history. This is the message we proclaim everywhere.
Matthew 28:1-6 “Now after the Sabbath, toward the dawn of the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the tomb. 2 And behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled back the stone and sat on it. 3 His appearance was like lightning, and his clothing white as snow. 4 And for fear of him the guards trembled and became like dead men. 5 But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. 6 He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay.
1 Peter 1:3 “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to His great mercy, He has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead…”
Surviving The Summer
The last 3-4 weekly tips have helped you think about doing one more big evangelistic push, planning well for the fall term (last week), and making sure your leadership team is in place. These are all very important topics, which need careful attention. As you plan for your end of year celebration party on campus, be sure to encourage your disciples to live well throughout the summer months. We call this “Summer Survival”.
You can find the Summer Survival Guide here. This guide has principles that will help your disciples to not only survive, but to thrive. Make it a point to emphasize the Survival Guide in your weekly meetings, Bible studies and everywhere you will encounter Cru students.
We want to see disciples arrive back from their summer locations encouraged and ready for the fall term to make a difference with the Gospel message. Talk to your leadership team and decide how you will talk through the Summer Survival Guide with all your people on campus.
Talk to you next week,
