As You Plan For The Summer

Weekly Tip #12, Spring 2015 Cru-10-24-11-MASTER-TM

Keep Your Focus On Christ

Having just celebrated a meaningful Easter celebration, this week I looked at Luke 24. It was the day of the resurrection of Christ. You can read the story here.

Jesus came alongside two followers on the road to Emmaus, who were prevented from recognizing Him. They were sad because they did not fully understand why Jesus had to die. That is when Jesus said:

25 “And he said to them, “O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken! 26 Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer these things and enter into his glory?” 27 And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.”

All of the Scriptures point to Christ in one form or another. Our focus needs to be continually on Him.

1. Plan a party where you can celebrate with all your disciples what God has done this year.
2. Before your final Bible study or weekly meeting, be sure to gather all the names, cell, home address and Facebook of everyone. – Use Mission Hub as a great way to stay in touch with everyone. In Mission Hub you can easily text and email everyone.
3. Throughout the summer, keep everyone connected and encouraged. As the fall term gets close, remind them of the strategy back on campus for the first week of classes.
4. Review weekly tip 11 under the topic “Surviving the Summer” and Weekly Tip 10. Also Weekly tip 8 is very valuable to keep in mind.

Talk to you next week,
