God Has A Plan / Is Everyone Trained?

Weekly Tip #8, Spring 2016

God Has A Plan

Hard Ground

In Exodus 7:1-5, the Lord warned Moses that He would harden the heart of Pharaoh. God was about to unleash a series of plagues on the land of Egypt because of Pharaoh. All of this was in God’s plan to free Israel. However, the statement in verse 5 is one that really caught my attention.

1 And the LORD said to Moses, “See, I have made you like God to Pharaoh, and your brother Aaron shall be your prophet. 2 You shall speak all that I command you, and your brother Aaron shall tell Pharaoh to let the people of Israel go out of his land. 3 But I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and though I multiply my signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, 4 Pharaoh will not listen to you. Then I will lay my hand on Egypt and bring my hosts, my people the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great acts of judgment. 5 The Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I stretch out my hand against Egypt and bring out the people of Israel from among them.”

“The Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord…” Basically, this is God’s plan for all mankind. Everyone will know that He is truly the Lord. People can accept and obey Him today, or realize the consequences of rejecting Him. As Philippians 2:9-11 says,

9 Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

God wants everyone to know that He is Lord, but not everyone will accept Him. Let’s do our part as His ambassadors to spread the message of the Gospel while people have an opportunity. God has a plan.

Is Everyone Trained How To Share Their Faith Effectively?

Showing KGP

At this point in the Spring, hopefully some new people have joined your ministry. Take an inventory of everyone involved and ask yourself if they have been trained in how to share their faith. This is one of the main foundational aspects of ministry that all new disciples need to be involved in.

Use evangelism training not only to equip people to share their faith, but to confirm some people’s relationship to Christ who may not be sure. This training will also help students as they look to their Spring break and also leading towards the Summer season. Help everyone to be prepared.
